Meet the team
Stan Beraznik is the Founder and Managing Director of 29th Street Capital. Since its inception, Stan has guided 29th Street Capital in the acquisition of over $5 billion in multifamily property, $500 million in single-family home portfolios, and $50 million in non-performing mortgage loans. Stan oversees multiple business units and works alongside the other managing directors to determine which investments fit the firm’s criteria.

Robert Bollhoffer is the Chief Investment Officer and Managing Director at 29th Street. He oversees all members of the Acquisition team, as well as the Development, Proptech Ventures, Investor Relations, and Preferred Equity teams.
Prior to this position at 29th Street Capital, Robb spent eight years as a Managing Director at Strategic Capital Partners (SCP), a privately held real estate investment management company with assets of over $1 billion. At SCP, his focus was multifamily, student, and senior housing properties. Prior to joining SCP, Robb was a former Acquisition Manager at Trizec Properties Office Trust, one of the nation’s largest public office REITs, before being acquired by Blackstone for $10B.
Robb graduated with honors from DePaul (Kellstadt) University with a master’s degree in Business Administration and a concentration in real estate. He also obtained his bachelor's degree in business administration with concentrations in real estate and urban land economics from the University of Wisconsin—Madison, where he was a member of the Rowing Team. He is a board member of the James A. Graaskamp Center for Real Estate.

Javier Bustillo is the Senior Vice President of Acquisitions for 29th Street Capital in charge of all multifamily acquisitions in Houston, Dallas, Florida, Atlanta, and the Mid-Atlantic region. Javier has over 25 years of real estate investment experience in multifamily properties and has participated in transactions valued at more than $3B in that time.
Before joining 29th Street Capital, Javier was a Partner with Stonemark Equities, LLC, overseeing all acquisition activity. Prior to this, he served as an Executive vice president in charge of multifamily asset management and acquisitions for Concert/ING Realty Partners.
Javier received his MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Dan Howard is the Senior Vice President of Acquisitions for 29th Street Capital, responsible for multifamily acquisitions in Central Texas and the Midwest (Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, and Illinois). Dan also oversees 29th Street Capital’s Student Housing Platform.
Dan has over 15 years of experience in real estate, construction, and property management. In addition to sourcing and completing acquisitions, his responsibilities include oversight of all capital projects, third-party management selection, marketing/design, and dispositions.
Prior to joining 29th Street Capital, Dan spent eight years as an environmental consultant. He eventually transitioned into real estate, working as a Senior Vice President at Capstone Management with a focus on business development, construction, and property management.

Josh Lindley is the Senior Vice President of Acquisitions for the Heartland region which includes KS, KY, and TN. Josh has over 23 years of experience in property management and construction.
In 2002, Josh founded his own property management company, AllTrade. Here, he managed upwards of 6,000 units in seven different states and supervised the renovation of over 7,000 units. Josh is a licensed Broker in 17 States.
Josh holds a degree in Construction Management from the University of Evansville.

Doug Burt is the Vice President of Multifamily Acquisitions for Houston and Dallas/Fort Worth. He is responsible for all facets of 29SC multifamily acquisitions and asset management strategies in the region. In addition to sourcing and completing acquisitions, his responsibilities at 29SC include complete project oversight, selecting third-party management, overseeing all capital projects, marketing/design, and dispositions.
Prior to his role at 29SC, Doug served as a multifamily broker and acquisitions analyst for a regional firm in Houston. He earned his BBA in Real Estate at the University of North Texas.

Matt Compton is the Vice President of Acquisitions for North and South Carolina. He is responsible for all facets of 29SC multifamily acquisitions and asset management strategies in his region.
Prior to his role as Vice President, Matt was an Acquisitions Analyst for 29SC, supporting the acquisition team through portfolio-wide underwriting and due diligence, investment presentations, market research, and investor relations. Matt also supported the 29th Street Preferred Equity business unit.
Matt obtained a bachelor’s degree in Real Estate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2020.

Jesse Mass is the Vice President of Acquisitions for the Pacific Northwest. Based in the Portland area, Jesse is responsible for the region's management and operations, including direct oversight of acquisitions, development, asset management, and dispositions.
Jesse has over 20 years of experience in the Real Estate Investing and Technology industries to 29SC. Prior to joining, Jesse was the Managing Director of Capital Markets for CrowdStreet, Co-Founder and President of Summit Multifamily Group, Vice President of Acquisitions for Lamar Companies, Director of Acquisitions for AIMCO, and Product Manager for Amazon.com.
Jesse holds securities licenses Series 79 (Investment Banker), Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), as well as a Bachelor’s magna cum laude and MBA with a concentration in Real Estate.

Matt McCune is the Vice President of Acquisitions in charge of all multifamily acquisitions in Ohio and Indiana. Matt has over 15 years of real estate acquisitions, advising and management in the multi-family sector.
Prior to joining 29th Street Capital, Matt held Senior Vice President roles within the region, where he was responsible for the advisement and direction of acquisitions, dispositions, and recapitalization of his client's multi-family assets. Additionally, Matt founded a privately owned multi-family investment brokerage where he arranged over 25 transactions in a 3-year period.
Matt earned his degree from The Ohio State University and is based in Columbus, Ohio.

Henry Moore is a Vice President of Acquisitions at 29th Street Capital in charge of all acquisition efforts in the Mid-Atlantic region. Henry’s responsibilities include sourcing, underwriting, and closing of multifamily acquisitions as well as oversight of the existing portfolio in the region.
Prior to joining 29th Street, Henry worked for Goldman Sachs & Co. within the Investment Management and Investment Banking Divisions. Henry attended George Washington University and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Finance.

Chris Steiner is Vice President of Acquisitions for 29th Street Capital and is in charge of multifamily acquisitions in Florida. Chris has over 15 years of experience in real estate, construction management, and private equity.
Prior to joining 29th Street Capital, Chris created an East Coast investment acquisition division within Southport Financial Services, one of the nation’s largest affordable housing developers. At Southport, he acquired 2,000 multifamily units with an aggregate value of $250 million, utilizing internal capital and outside equity sourced from institutional and high-net-worth investors.
Originally from Colorado, Chris spent the first portion of his career working for investment firms in New York and London. After dedicating a year of volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity, Chris shifted his focus towards an entrepreneurial venture with the mission of bringing cloud-based construction management to the remodeling industry.
Chris received his BA from the University of Colorado with a major in Business Economics.

Santiago Nieto is the Vice President of Acquisitions for 29th Street Capital’s Mountain West and Northern California regions. Santiago is responsible for all facets of 29SC multifamily acquisitions and asset management strategies in his region.

Ryan Stransky is the Acquisitions Manager at 29th Street and oversees the underwriting, due diligence, and closing processes for multifamily asset acquisitions.
Before joining 29th Street, Ryan did conventional underwriting at Lument and Red Capital Group. He managed $1.2 billion in conventional agency debt there, specializing in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loan executions. His expertise includes compliance, risk mitigation, and coordinating transaction due diligence.
Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Monmouth College.

Drew Rimel is the Senior Vice President of Asset Management, overseeing the firm's entire portfolio of asset management efforts.
Before his role as SVP, Drew was the Vice President of Asset Management with 29th Street, leading deal sourcing and syndication, underwriting plus investment analysis, sell/hold/refinance decision modeling, financial planning, capital projects management, strategy/operations implementation, market research, and portfolio-wide reporting.
Prior to joining 29th Street, Drew oversaw the asset management and compliance divisions of a 2,000 unit multi-family and mixed use portfolio in San Francisco. He is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley.

Sam Kociak is a Vice President of Asset Management for 29th Street Capital. Sam is responsible for Asset Management duties over the firm's Ohio, Kentucky, Kansas, North Carolina, and San Antonio portfolios.
Prior to this position, Sam led Asset Management for the Chicago-based development firm Cedar Street. Before Cedar Street, Sam managed portfolio analysis of Midwest Affordable Housing at New York-based related companies.
Sam also held positions in Acquisitions and Asset Management at The Inland Group of Companies and The Habitat Company. Sam holds a BS in Finance from DePaul University in Chicago.

Jack Tabor is 29th Street Capital's vice president of asset management. He oversees all asset management activity in the Florida, Georgia, Houston, and DC regions.
Prior to joining 29th Street Capital, Jack held senior asset management roles at Cedar Street Capital, Group Fox, and City Club Apartments, focused on mixed-use multifamily product. He was also active in multifamily, retail, and office acquisitions with The Habitat Company and Jupiter Realty Company.

Ian Douglas is the Senior Vice President of Due Diligence and Capital Projects. Ian spearheads initiatives aimed at standardizing the 29th Street scope and turnaround time and ensuring dedicated project managers oversee the capital budget.
Ian brings a diversified background including past leadership roles such as a Chief Operating Officer, Vice President of Asset Management, Vice President of Operations, Regional Manager, Property and Maintenance Manager, and Director of Human Resources and Recruiting. He has experience managing A, B, and C-grade assets, as well as affordable and public housing across the nation for a large public REIT, private owners, international, and institutional investors.
Ian is a subject matter expert for the National Apartment Association Educational Institute and has held board positions for the National Multifamily Housing Council and the Houston Apartment Association. He holds dual degrees from The University of North Texas in Psychology and History, is Bi-Lingual (Spanish), and served in the United States Army as an Airborne Interrogator.

Ryan Berger is the Senior Vice President of Capital Projects and Facilities Management for 29th Street. He leads all aspects of project management, facilities management, and procurement.
Ryan’s background includes leading and rebuilding construction and facilities teams at multiple multifamily firms across the US, including Tides Equities, Avanti RE, Lion RE, and Waterton. He spent time in the US Navy and graduated from Temple University, where he competed in collegiate track and field as a decathlete.

Marcus Pischedda is a Capital Project Manager for 29th Street Capital. Living in Phoenix, Mr. Pischedda manages all capital projects and interior and exterior renovations for the Southwest and Southern California regions.
Mr. Pischedda has over 16 years of experience in the industry with specialties in construction, general contracting, renovations and property maintenance. Prior to 29th Street Capital, Mr. Pischedda was implementing the interior renovations for multifamily projects for Katerra.

Sandro Fornesi is a Capital Project Manager for 29th Street Capital.
Living in San Francisco, Sandro oversees all value-add capital expenditures in the state of California.
He has over 15 years of experience in property management, construction, and hospitality. Throughout his professional career, Sandro has held management positions for the Four Seasons Hotel group, where he developed a strong set of management and leadership skills, as well as Project Management positions for multiple general contractors in the Bay Area, always pursuing his passion for construction.

Charlie Kuhbander is a Senior Asset Management Analyst for 29th Street Capital. Charlie supports the asset management teams in the California and Texas regions. Jon Schneider is the Senior Vice President of Operations for 29th Street. He oversees the coordination of the operations and communications of all business units. He also serves as the Chair of the Operating Committee, which is responsible for achieving corporate goals and implementing the strategic plan while also focusing on uniting people across the organization and enhancing communication across the firm's business units.
Prior to joining 29th Street Capital, Jon served as Senior Vice President of Asset Management for Fifield Companies, a Chicago-based national development firm. There, he was responsible for the lease-up and stabilized business plans for a portfolio of Class-A mid- and high-rise mixed-use developments in Chicago and Dallas.
Before joining Fifield, Jon was with Chicago-based investor GEM Realty Capital for nearly 10 years. As Vice President of Asset Management at GEM, he was involved in the asset management functions of the firm's investments, covering a variety of asset types, including core and value-add multi-family, hospitality, office, and industrial. Jon has also held positions in financial reporting for RSM, a public accounting firm, and Equity Residential.
Jon holds a BA in Accounting and Finance from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois.

Sherri Toohey-Taylor is the Chief People Officer for 29th Street, where she leads the company’s Human Resources strategy. She has over 30 years of experience in human resources and expertise in Employment Law, Conflict Management, Mediation, Employee and Labor Relations, Contract Negotiations, Performance Management, Compensation and Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Compliance, Mergers and Acquisitions, Change Management, and Learning.
Sherri has served as an executive member of the leadership team at the US Postal Service in Washington DC and Mortenson Dental Partners. She has also been an HR leader at Louisville Metro Government and UPS. Sherri holds a BSBA in Finance from the University of Louisville, an MBA from Indiana University as well as her SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications. She was awarded “20 People to Know in HR,” presented by Louisville Business First, and served as an Executive Board Member for the Center for Women and Families in Louisville, KY.
Bobby Orozco is 29th Street's Senior Vice President of Finance at 29th Street Capital. He oversees all middle and back office functions, including valuation, performance measurement, cash management, and financial statements.
With over 15 years of experience, Bobby has worked in various sectors, including real estate and development, global architecture and design, and public accounting.
Bobby is a Certified Public Accountant with a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Allie Dresner is the Controller at 29th Street. She is responsible for producing and managing balance sheets and analyzing future earnings and expenses. She also manages the organization's accounting, auditing, and budgeting.
Prior to joining 29th Street, Allie served on the Fraud Investigation and Disputes team at Ernst and Young, where she was a neutral arbitrator in acquisition disputes and developed internal policies for clients to prevent corrupt practices. Allie also served as an Executive Recruiter for CPAs.
Allie is a CPA. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business.

Devan Cronin is the Executive Vice President of Technology for 29th Street, where she leads property technology solution strategy and corporate technology and system initiatives.
Devan has over 11 years of property management experience in numerous sectors, including multifamily, privatized military, and student housing. Her previous roles include on-site and regional management, helping bridge the gap between operational needs and functional technology solutions. She has served as an outside consultant for multiple organizations to help identify technology gaps, areas of opportunity, and improvements to their operational efficiencies. Her expertise ranges from property management software and technology integrations to system administration, security, and protocol.

Kyle Racette serves as the 29th Street Procurement Director. Kyle is responsible for managing each part of 29th Street’s supply chain to ensure consistent delivery of goods and services while identifying possible obstacles affecting productivity and overall company timelines and objectives.
Racette has more than 10 years of procurement experience, having worked in various capacities at Forest City, which was acquired by Brookfield Properties in 2018. Most recently, Racette served as the Senior Procurement Manager responsible for working across divisions to better leverage Brookfield's buying power to strategic suppliers. Racette has extensive experience developing supplier sourcing, implementation, and management strategies.

Emma Rey is the Sustainability Manager at 29th Street. She is responsible for implementing and overseeing sustainable practices, leading a variety of initiatives aimed at enhancing environmental performance and improving efficiency. Initiatives include utility data analysis, collaboration with asset management and development teams, resource optimization, compliance monitoring, green operations oversight, and special projects related to sustainability.
Emma is LEED Certified and certified as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Prior to joining 29th Street Communities, Emma spent four years working in green building and operations for a non-profit organization specializing in multi-family housing. She then transitioned to a role managing the State of California's Clean Vehicle Rebate Project, where she gained invaluable experience in environmental policy and project management.

Claudia Hoekstra is a Senior Accountant with 29th Street. Her duties include reviewing and analyzing financial data, preparing monthly quarterly and yearly financial reporting packages and other various accounting functions.
Prior to this role, Claudia worked as an auditor for a mid-sized public accounting firm, where she was responsible for financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations for clients primarily in the manufacturing distribution, and not-for-profit industries.

Karen Plesh is the Chief Executive Officer of 29th Street Living, where she leads the executive team and department heads in implementing and executing strategic business plans to improve performance while maintaining operational excellence.
Karen has over 25 years of property management experience. In her prior role as COO, she implemented innovative strategies, established competitively attractive value propositions, and enhanced customer loyalty while maximizing efficiencies and productivity.
Karen holds a B.S. degree in Marketing and Management from Siena College in Upstate, NY, and earned a master's degree in Organizational Leadership at Cabrini College in Radnor, PA. She holds a CPM designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management and served as a board member and President for the Eastern Chapter of the Pennsylvania Apartment Association.

Chris Radliff is the Chief Operating Officer of 29th Street Living. He oversees all aspects of the company's property management functions, from strategy to execution, ensuring peak performance and profitability.
Prior to joining 29th Street, Chris served as Vice President of Operations at Hunt Military Companies, responsible for overseeing 11,700 units in 20 locations across 12 states, corporate and executive-level oversight of the portfolio, achieving financial and operational goals, and organizing, planning, and developing company-wide initiatives and programs.
Chris earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Missouri, majoring in accounting. In July 2020, he obtained a certification as a Certified Property Manager from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).

Seth Kaplan is the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications for 29th Street Living. He oversees the development of strategic marketing plans and the implementation and execution of the various efforts associated with property-level marketing plans.
Seth started his multifamily career as a Marketing Coordinator at Concord Property Management in 2012. Erica is the Senior Vice President of the East portfolio for 29th Street Living. Denise Maldonado is the Vice President of Learning and Development for 29th Street Living. She is responsible for improving team member's knowledge, skills, and productivity. While monitoring training compliance and company policies and procedures related to property management, Denise ensures the L&D Department supports all associates in understanding company policy and procedure guidelines to establish consistency across the division’s housing portfolio. She assesses company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions.
Prior to 29th Street, Denise has over 33 years of experience in property management, including military housing, multi-family housing, and affordable housing properties.
Denise is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and holds her IREM Certified Property Manager (CPM®) and Accredited Residential Manager (ARM®) certifications. She is also a member of the National Apartment Association (NAA) and the Association for Talent Development (ATD).

Melissa Bowman is the Controller for 29th Street Living. She oversees the activities of the Property Accounting departments for accurate and timely dissemination of financial information, including internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits, and annual budgets.

Prior to joining 29th Street Communities, Brandon was the Director of Accounting for Alltrade, managing financial reports for over 6,000 units in five states. He began his career as an accountant at River Valley Financial Bank, creating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements reportable to the SEC, FDIC, Federal Home Loan Bank, and the Federal Reserve Bank.

Beric Wessely serves as the Director of Lease-up Operations at 29th Street Living, a pivotal role combining the expertise of the New Development and Property Management teams. Beric oversees all lease-up activities from project inception through stabilization, ensuring seamless coordination between marketing, staffing, and on-site management. By uniting the lease-up processes with property development from day one, Beric ensures that new communities are fully prepared for long-term success when transitioning to property management and operations teams. Beric brings more than 10 years of hands-on experience in property management across a wide range of assets, including Class C to B communities, condo-deconversions, and luxury Class A developments. John Kitson is the Executive Vice President of Development for 29th Street Capital. He is responsible for leading all development and construction activities, from pre-development to implementation. During his 20 years of experience in real estate development, he has supported the delivery of more than 7,000 units of multifamily and student housing with over $2.5 billion in assets.
Before joining 29th Street Capital, John was with CA Ventures for 8 years as the SVP of Development for the multifamily vertical, a role in which he managed the oversight of more than 30 developments throughout the US.
Prior to CA, John was an architect and associate at Perkins + Will, where he completed several large scale domestic and international projects. During his architectural experience, he has worked on a variety of high-rise office buildings, mixed-use developments, education, federal and healthcare projects. Specializing in core and shell design and project management for projects, including several class A office buildings in London, UK.
John earned a BA (with honors) in Architecture from Birmingham City University in Birmingham, England, and an International Master of Architecture from the University of Huddersfield in Huddersfield, England. He is a licensed Architect and a LEED accredited professional.

Zach Shulruff is the Vice President of Investments for 29th Street. He focuses on underwriting and analysis for multifamily value-add and development opportunities nationally. Zach has 10+ years of real estate investment, development, asset management, and value-add experience across various asset types. In addition to managing acquisitions, his responsibilities at 29SC include asset management, investor relations, and transaction due diligence.
Prior to joining 29th Street Capital, Zach was Director of Acquisitions at CA Ventures on the multifamily acquisitions and asset management team. Before CA, he was a Senior Financial Analyst at JLL on the Downtown Chicago Office Landlord Representation team.

Rommel Llanes is the Senior Vice President of Construction Management and is responsible for overseeing the construction of all current development projects and is involved during the pre-development process.
Rommel has 28+ years of experience in the construction of multifamily, hospitality, commercial, retail, and industrial sectors. Rommel‘s experience from concept through completion of projects and management of multiple teams, provides the foundation of building design, value engineering, project scheduling, estimating, and construction of our projects.

Nikola Krcmarevic is the Vice President of Development for 29th Street Capital. He is responsible for all facets of development, asset management, and depositions at 29SC.
Prior to joining 29SC, Nikola was a Development Manager for the Tribune Tower Residences, a 162-unit ultra-luxury condo redevelopment of the national landmarked tower. He has previously worked at Golub, CA Ventures, and Gensler. Nikola has a deep bench of experience in design, entitlement, construction management, and delivery of projects of different scales and complexity nationally.

Michael Porto is the Vice President of Project Management. Michael is responsible for overseeing the project management of all current developments as well as design and development management.
Before joining 29th Street Capital, Michael spent five years as a Senior Project Manager at CA Ventures where he managed multifamily and student housing developments around the country. Prior to CA, Michael was a Project Architect at FGM Architects for 8 years.

Dan Pazda is the Controller for 29th Street Development. Dan has nearly 10 years of accounting experience centered around real estate and development.
Prior to joining 29th Street Development, Dan was with a prestigious Chicago-based development firm working on $1B+ class A+ trophy high-rise developments across the country. Dan has experience at all levels of the development chain, including accounting for $500M+ of construction for a leading Midwest general contractor before transitioning into the ownership side.

Mark Chrisman is the Managing Principal of 29th Street Ventures. Mark brings over 20 years as an investor and operator in commercial and Multifamily real estate and ten years as a PropTech founder and investor to the 29th Street Team

Throughout his career, Chrisman has been a principal in over $3 billion in commercial real estate transactions and has co-founded or invested in 20 PropTech or other technology-related firms.

Pete Estridge is the Vice President of Capital Markets at 29th Street Capital. His responsibilities include arranging and structuring debt financing and derivative products for 29th Street’s projects, including acquisition loans, refinancings, mezzanine financing, and interest rate hedging.
Prior to 29th Street Capital, Pete’s background included both finance and real estate operations. He worked as an Associate in Bank of America’s Global Investment Bank in the Consumer & Retail industry coverage group in New York, and then served as an operational leader with P&L responsibility at SMS Assist, LLC (Acquired by Lessen, Inc. in January 2023), a Chicago-based national property management services provider.
Pete holds a BS in Economics from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and an MBA from Chicago Booth with concentrations in Finance and Accounting. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he served in Southern California with two deployments to Afghanistan.

Jeff Gragnolati serves as an Advisor and Head of Capital Markets for 29th Street Captial.
Prior to joining 29SC, Jeff spent nine years at Cortland responsible for all debt across $23 billion real estate portfolio. During that time, he closed over 450 loans totaling $17 billion. He closed over 250 new acquisitions, helping Cortland’s portfolio grow from 14,000 units to over 85,000. Highlights include the take private of a $1.5 billion public REIT, several large credit facilities, and working directly with Freddie Mac to design/refine loan products, including their Mod-Rehab program. He also designed and implemented numerous processes across the investment, construction, and accounting divisions, including investor reporting, subcontractor payment, and construction draw processes.
Before Cortland, Jeff spent 5 years at KPMG in various roles, including global M&A advisory and audit.
Jeff obtained a master's degree in accounting and an undergraduate degree in business from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
